TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Booking is essential. Please have your booking reference and membership card ready when arriving at the admissions building on the day of your workshop. If you have a query regarding your booking please call 01245 402115 or email HHcoursesandworkshops@rhs.org.uk.

Courses are designed for adult learners of 18 years or older. Younger learners of 16-17 may attend if accompanied by a responsible adult. Both attendees should have a valid workshop ticket.

Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable, unless the event is cancelled by the RHS.

RHS Garden Hyde Hall reserves the right to cancel an event, in which case you will be fully refunded for your ticket booking. We regret that the RHS is not liable for any expenses incurred due to a cancelled course or workshop.

Courses and workshops require a minimum number of places to be sold in order for them to go ahead. If this minimum is not achieved by a week before the event, we reserve the right to cancel the event and refund any tickets booked.

If a tutor is unavailable to run their course, a suitable replacement tutor will be sought and you will be contacted. If we are unable to find an appropriate substitute, we will refund your ticket.

General Exceptions to this policy: If a course is booked in error and the purchaser notifies the RHS within 48 hours of receiving the booking confirmation, then a refund can be offered, less a £5 admin fee.

Access to gardens and buildings: The gardens and buildings are accessible, however please note that this is a hill-top garden, with sloping areas and typical finish of paths and footways. Plans of our recommended routes are available and staff will be happy to advise on any areas which may not be accessible. Wheelchair and mobility scooter hire is available - it is advisable to make a reservation in advance of your visit.

Mobility Vehicle: We offer a mobility vehicle that is located 67m from the admissions building. The vehicle can transport visitors who require assistance to the top of the garden and drop off outside The Learning Centre. Subsequently, visitors can be transported back down upon request. Mobility vehicle operation times during summer opening hours are 10am to 4:45pm and during winter opening hours 10am to 2:45pm. Please note powered and motorised wheelchairs cannot be taken on the mobility vehicle.

Carers: One carer is permitted free of charge when accompanying visitors whose disability necessitates their support. Please state if this is the case when booking. If the carer wishes to take part in the workshop they must purchase a ticket.

Catering: The Gardener's Rest Restaurant and Clover Cafe will be open to purchase food and refreshments - see website for opening times. Please be aware that both restaurants may be busy during peak times. You may wish to bring a packed lunch as an alternative and seating is available in our designated picnic areas.

Weather: Many of our courses include outdoor activities. Please ensure that you dress appropriately for the weather with suitable footwear.

First aid: In the event of an emergency there will always be a trained first aider on site.

Parking: Free car parking is available all year and accessible parking is signposted as you enter the site.

Dogs: No dogs allowed anywhere on site (including the car park and Hyde Hall estate). Registered support dogs welcome in all areas.
