School Workshop Bookings

The RHS offers fully-funded (i.e. free to schools) educational workshops. We have a range of workshops suitable for EYFS-KS4. To find out more about our workshops view our brochure

Workshop Details

Each workshop can accommodate a class of up to 35 pupils, with a minimum group size of 16*. We can accommodate up to three classes per day.

If you are bringing two classes: Please book both the morning and afternoon sessions - one session per class.

If you are bringing three classes: We can offer three workshops in one day for Discovering Plants, Exploring Plants and Investigating Plants workshops only. To make a booking for three classes: Step 1: find a date with two workshops available and provisionally book them both. Step 2: Reply to the automatic response, letting us know you would like a third workshop and we will make this booking manually for you.

Use your school email account to book so we can verify your eligibility for a free visit.

Entry for accompanying adults within our ratios is free and included within your booking.

All bookings are provisional until we have been in touch to confirm. Booking confirmation will include further details about planning your visit and an itinerary for your day.

Recommended Ratios:

EYFS - 1:4

Years 1-3 - 1:6

Years 4-6 - 1:8

Years 7-13 - 1:10

Minimum 3 adults per class

Additional adults to support SEND learners are welcome

*Are you looking for a workshop for an SEND group? We offer shorter workshops for those who want to bring a group of fewer than 16 children who have additional needs for whom the full 90 minute workshops are not suitable. Email schoolsbridgewater@rhs.org.uk for more information, or click here to book.

For schools with smaller class sizes, we may be able to accommodate groups of fewer than 16 in our off-peak times. Email for more information.
